The mill had ceased operations in 1988 resulting in the termination of it's many employees and the loss of millions of dollars to the economy of this region.

Since the mill began production under the BSPP banner, it's customer base and volume of business has increased steadily. Some 72 employees now manufacture many types of specialty grades of paper board used in such applications as the food packaging industry, office products grades, graphic arts, the automotive industry and more.

Brownville Specialty Paper Products is now exporting to 28 nations world wide. 

Extensive capital investment and constant equipment upgrades have improved operating efficiencies and the quality of our products. Those efficiencies have positioned Brownville as one of the top manufactures of high-quality specialty paper board in the United States.
